Published:13 Oct 2008Electricity Alliance East (EAE) is driving waste management best practice through the implementation of WasteAccountant.com.
EAE are using WasteAccountant.com to drive up recycling percentages. They are doing this by utilising the MTS Environmental Ltd Integrated Waste Management System (IWMS). This system brings the waste management industry and construction industry together in a mutually benficial way.
This is achieved in part by EAE using the MTS Environmental Ltd Site Waste Management Plans (SWMP) which use recycling percentages achieved by the supply chain. This way EAE always knows that their recycling statistics are consistant and reflect what is actually happening to the material leaving site. By taking this approach EAE are confident that statistical reporting to the National Grid Plc is a true reflection of operational performance and not based on assumptions.
From this benchmark EAE will continuously improve waste management performance throughout its energy renewals programme.
