Atkins Highway Services

Atkins Highway Services (AHS) have successfully trialled Waste Accountant in Cambridgeshire County Highways. Atkins have used Waste Accountant to help manage an in-house recycling business function. Waste that is generated by highway maintenance activities is taken to four county highways recycling depots and the material is segregated and treated and then recycled. Waste Accountant assists AHS to achieve compliance with Environmental Agency environmental permit standards and manage the commercial side of recycling activities. Cambridgeshire Highways are achieving a 69% recycling rate. Waste Accountant will now be rolled out throughout AHS including Oxfordshire, Somerset, Gloucestershire and Highways Agency Area 6.   



Enterprise Mouchel in HA Area 3 

Enterprise Mouchel (EM) are the principle contractor for Highways Agency Area 3 and use Waste Accountant to track and manage all waste generated from maintenance and capital works. EM use Waste Accountant to work closely with its entire supply chain to deliver the highest recycling performance for the Highways Agency. The Waste Accountant subcontractor user level allows the whole supply chain to contribute to the 84% recycling rate achieved by EM.     


R&W Civil Engineering Ltd

R&W Civil Engineering Ltd undertakes extensive civil engineering works throughout Southern England and Waste Accountant is used to manage the waste generated from these works. R&W have developed a comprehensive integrated recycling infrastructure, including waste transfer stations and recycling facilities. Waste Accountant is used to help manage the whole commercial and environmental management operations relating to waste and has helped R&W achieve a 79% recycling rate.
